Samaritas is one of many official Detroit Free Press Marathon Charities. That means when you sign up for one of the running events at the 2024 Detroit Free Press Marathon, you can choose to join Samaritas’ fundraising team!
How to join the team?
- · Sign up for the Freep Marathon at www.freepmarathon.com.
- · Click “Register Here” and select your race category. Multiple categories at different price points are available
including a 5k, half-marathon, and full marathon. *There is a cost to register.
- · As you register, on the “Add Details” page, scroll to the bottom to the optional “Support an Organization” and select Samaritas.
- · Your information will automatically be forwarded to Samaritas, and we will be in touch with resources and next steps.
Funds from people like you will help Samaritas:
- · Equitably resettle refugees young and old throughout Michigan.
- · Get more foster kids back together with their birth parents and help more of them find forever homes.
- · Help us keep more Michigan families together with services that address negative behavior and outcomes.
- · Provide individuals on the verge of homelessness with affordable housing.
- · Help people struggling with Substance Use Disorders get healthy.
