Affordable Living

At Samaritas, we believe that no matter your budget, everyone deserves a beautiful, comforting place to live. For people seeking housing on a fixed income, Samaritas offers affordable living in Michigan thanks to our HUD-subsidized communities.

Senior Living

Samaritas Senior Living offers retirement living for seniors in Michigan with 18 communities throughout the state. Whether you want independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory support or rehabilitation therapy, you'll find a community to fit your needs.

Samaritas At Home

We help senior adults and others who need temporary or ongoing help to live independently. We provide services to those who need a little help to remain in their homes. We also help people of all ages with physical limitations, developmental disabilities or mental illness.

New American Services

Samaritas has been the Michigan affiliate of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service since the 1950s. As the largest refugee resettlement agency in the state, Samaritas has resettled thousands of people from dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Central and South America.

Foster Care

Samaritas has been providing services for children and families since 1934. Samaritas is Michigan’s largest private foster care organization, helping more than 800 children daily. Our experienced staff are passionate about their desire to help foster families create a better life for the children in their care.

Adoption

Through Samaritas’s Adoption program – Lutheran Adoption Services - you can help a child find a “life-long loving family.” Every child needs love, shelter and guidance. These most basic of provisions are missing for some children, and the older the child, the more dire the circumstances, especially when they come from an abusive or neglectful situation.

Disability Support

Samaritas has many services for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities or both. We manage properties where individuals bring in caregivers and also have group home sites with our 24 hr. staffing.

Family Preservation

Through Samaritas’s Family Preservation programs, we seek to guide parents toward creating a satisfying, nurturing home life for the entire family, to keep children in their natural setting with their biological parents.

Community Support

Through Samaritas Child and Family Services Division, we seek to build Community through three vibrant centers: Home and Community Campus Westland, House of Detroit and Community Center Saginaw.
