Summer is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Our gardens are bursting with new growth of fruits and vegetables and our flowers are in full bloom. But sometimes we take this beauty for granted. We see the trees, the flowers and the scenery around us and we don’t see the grandeur of it all. There was a time when nothing existed except God, the one who made everything that we see. In the beginning God created. But why did God create? It is in God’s very nature to create. God has a mighty plan that is being revealed through creation day by day. God spoke and creation was. God simply spoke the world into being. By God’s powerful Word, God created the world and by that same Word God holds all things together. The awesome God who existed and who created everything has made it possible to know God personally. While we can see and understand things about God through creation, we can only know God personally through a faith relationship with God’s son, Jesus Christ. Take time to slow down. As you notice the beauty all around us this summer, thank God for all of creation. Come outside, relax for a moment and see the beauty and give thanks. God is still creating. Take time to enjoy this time of year and come out and sit in the gardens at Samaritas Senior Living and see the new growth all around.
