The Cherry Festival may be over, but that does not mean the fun ends in Traverse City! Check out some of these awesome events that are sure to be the highlight of you summer!
1. Traverse City Beach Bums vs. Washington Wild Things. Take me out to the ballgame! The Traverse City Beach Bums will take on the Washington Wild Things. The game, on August 1 is also Thrift Tuesday. Meaning, for $5 you can get a hotdog or brat with a fountain drink and a bag of chips. Gate opens at 6 p.m. and the game begins at 7:05 p.m.
2. Sara Hardy Downtown Farmers Market. Stock up on your favorite Traverse City fruits, veggies, plants, flowers and baked goods. The market is open rain or shine, every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
3. Sweetwater Blues Band Night. Every Tuesday, join the Holiday Inn on West Bay Beach in welcoming some of Michigan’s most popular Sweetwater Blues Bands. Concerts are held on the patio from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free.
4. Hope Fest at Samaritas Senior Living. This year Hope Fest will be on Sunday, September 10. We always celebrate Grandparent's Day with this picnic. It will be from noon - 3 p.m. and feature yummy food and music from the Cherry Blossom Ramblers!
5. Around the World Chocolate Tasting. Do you love chocolate? Have you ever wondered where and how chocolate is grown? If you answered yes to both questions, this event is for you! Join the Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate Shop for a fun intro to the world of chocolate and a guided tasting of chocolates from around the world. Admission is $15 but you can schedule when to come in!
