A Toast to CEO, Sam Beals
Our CEO, Sam Beals, will retire at the end of 2022 after 8 years of leadership here at Samaritas. With Sam at the helm, the Ripples we have made together these past 8 years have been incredible - here are just a few of so many wonderful accomplishments:
- Increasing our affordable housing to 16 communities, statewide, and counting.
- Strengthening the organization’s presence and influence across the state with a rebrand that opened the doors to serve more.
- Opening of our state-of-the-art Child & Family campus and consolidating all West Michigan offices into this one location.
- Becoming the one of the largest providers of preservation services in the state in addition to adoption, foster care and refugee services.
- Senior Living communities have grown and lead the way with new services like Dementia Capable Care with Assisted Reality technology, and we celebrate the staff heroes of these communities who have served with such fierce dedication through some of the most difficult times we could ever imagine.
- Launch of a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) program.
- Developed a successful statewide capital campaign (Giving Hope) to raise $100 million to assist our efforts and move our mission forward.
- Faithfully leading us with strength and grace through the tremendously challenging COVID pandemic.
Sam, we at Samaritas Nation thank you for your amazing leadership, your integrity and wise counsel, your steadfast dedication to Samaritas values and to the mission of Serving people as an expression of the love of Christ. You, your dedication to, and heart for staff and clients will be sorely missed. We wish you only the best in retirement, however, we know you that your mission to serve won’t stop here and that you will continue to do great things to serve His Kingdom. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
Last but not yeast, a Toast to the Punmaster: May your days ahead only get butter and butter, may you never find yourself in a jam, may your puns never grow old and crusty, and may you always find a slice of the good life.
Sam Beals, You Rock!
