Proverbs 21:26 says “but the righteous give and do not hold back.”

When I hear that verse I think about the quilting group here. The group has been together for five years. There are five ladies in the group: Marge, Annie, Mae, Anna and Gene. They each have their own job that they work on throughout the week, but then they gather together on Mondays with our volunteer Lin to work together. The materials used for the quilts is donated by Renee’s House of Quilting.

The quilts are given to EMS, the Fire Department, Police and Flight One. The idea for giving quilts came from a lady, who said how cold she was when she was rescued. Once a year they are all invited here for a blessing of the quilts and a pizza party.

Last year, 60 quilts were given and the goal this year is 100! What a ministry this is for so many people, including children. These ladies have all heard God’s call to given back to others.
