"In the latter part of 2018 we provided shelter to this single mom with four minor children (10, 4, 2 and 5 months) who were fleeing a domestic violence situation. As a result, this client  had to take additional precautions to prepare for safe housing. She bravely worked through our program with Dominique (Family Center, Program Coordinator) as a constant support and was able to accomplish her goal of getting the whole family both stable and permanently housed, amongst other goals which she completed one by one.

Upon preparations in leaving the Family Center and moving into her new home, she provided me with the attached note which literally brought me to tears and was just another reminder as to why our work at The Family Center is so very important. And although she was not here for Christmas, she and her children participated in our annual Holiday Door Decorating Contest and left their decorations up as a motivational gift to all the families who remain at the center." ~ Tamieka Andrews, Director of Samaritas Family Center
