Be The Rock Celebration Dinner

Samaritas is honored and grateful to have been named one of New Holland Brewing Co.’s Charity Partners for the past two years. The program educates staff and the broader community at the same time. Samaritas will receive a portion of sales during March and December as part of the “Community Tap” at New Holland’s The Knickerbocker.

Giving is an important part of their company. The New Holland team has helped our seniors do some spring cleaning and collected and helped pack backpacks for foster kids. In 2019, New Holland will get involved in our Academy series at Samaritas Senior Living of Grand Rapids and will teach a cocktail class for residents and the greater Grand Rapids community.

The partnership also entails senior lunch outings at The Knickerbocker, sponsorship at our 85th Annual Be the Rock Celebration Dinner and an appearance at their Hatter Days golf outing.

Brett Vanderkamp, owner of New Holland Brewery Co., wants to see Samaritas thrive and, as a Board member, he is excited about more people in the community learning about the work and the opportunity to invest in it. “I’ve heard it said that if you want to be wealthy, then you should help a lot of people,” he says. That sentiment lines up nicely with our mission and with our goal of transforming lives for the better.
