A partnership of Samaritas and Wayne County, offering emergency shelter for homeless families. We welcome: two-parent families, single mothers or fathers with children and pregnant women. For any homeless assistance, all callers or email inquiries should be directed to either other of the following:

  • Detroit residents should contact the CAM (Coordinated Assessment Model) – 313-305-0311
  • Wayne county residents should contact the HARA (Housing Assistance and Resource Agency) – 734-284-6999

  • Help in finding a permanent home
  • Job counseling and placement
  • Case management

  • Help with financial planning
  • Licensed child care for preschoolers
  • A lending library with computers and internet access

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
