We are so happy you have made the decision to help a child in foster care by providing a safe, loving home. In Michigan, more than 13,000 children are in foster care and there is a critical need for foster parents. At Samaritas, we can only place 50% of the children in need of placement. Your commitment to a child in need is so appreciated. Thank you.

What To Expect?

Once you have attended an orientation and completed your application, you will be granted access to the Samaritas Foster Parent Portal. Here you can ask a licensing worker about procedures, processes, other issues, learn about additional trainings and support groups, and keep track of your journey to become a foster parent. Please allow 48 hours for a response, and we will be happy to assist you.
