With access to more than 30,000 statewide programs and services, 2-1-1 representatives connect you with the proper resources and assistance that will keep you safe in the event of an emergency.

If you suspect abuse or neglect of any child or adult, contact MDHHS at (855) 444-3911 any time of the day or night. This toll-free phone number allows you to report abuse be assigned for an investigation.

If you are someone in the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement program (BPCI) who is in crisis and needs direction, dial (313) 573-4841.

Through Samaritas’s Adoption program – Lutheran Adoption Services - you can help a child find a “life-long loving family.” Every child needs love, shelter and guidance. These most basic of provisions are missing for some children, and the older the child, the more dire the circumstances, especially when they come from an abusive or neglectful situation.

Samaritas has been providing services for children and families since 1934. Samaritas is Michigan’s largest private foster care organization, helping more than 800 children daily. Our experienced staff are passionate about their desire to help foster families create a better life for the children in their care.

persons with disabilities

Samaritas has many services for individuals with physical or developmental disabilities or both. We manage properties where individuals bring in caregivers and also have group home sites with our 24 hr. staffing.

family preservation

Through Samaritas’s Family Preservation programs, we seek to guide parents toward creating a satisfying, nurturing home life for the entire family, to keep children in their natural setting with their biological parents.

building communities

Through Samaritas Child and Family Services Division, we seek to build communities through these critical services: The Samaritas Family Center, Substance Use Disorder Services, Behavioral Health and Disability Supports.
